As fall approaches...

As fall approaches, we reset our inner clocks to a darker morning and shorter days....I love the crisp air and the cooler nights.  The pumpkins are everywhere!  Gourds, ghouls and gobblins....So much fun!  Have created some new designs for fall...Here is one, Rue de la Cite' card...Enjoy and happy fall.

Got any grapes?  No just lemonade.  It's good and it's fresh and just homemade...Summer camps are so great for kids.  It broadens their learning experience and allows them to be creative in so many ways.  This is Caroline in camp.  If we could all go away to camp for awhile...

From Caterpillars to Butterflies... they all grow up so quickly.  A transformation of personality from childhood to young ladies...Seems like yesterday they were just learning to walk.  Now they go on hikes and bikerides!

This piece is called  'The Tree of Life'.  It is totally complete yet.
 It is work that I am including in my promo packet.  An illustration of a two page spread;  part of a children's story that I wrote.  I will show the final when it's complete.

SCBWI Conference in Maryland

Flying at the Speed of a Butterfly

Greetings all!  New work in progress.  All of my figures are three dimensional on acrylic surface.  I use ink, colored pencil and acrylics.

Gabrielle flew high that day.
High above the flowers and the bugs.
Dragonflies called out her name...
"Gabby, come fly with us.  We know
all the great hiding places."
Her new wings served her well.
Madame Butterfly gave them to her.
"A special gift for a special friend!"

For the love of Joe

This is a work in progress. As we approach Valentine's Day,
I realize that the one love in my life that is constant, is Joe....my much needed and appreciated cup of coffee....

Final illustration for "Scooter Boy". Finished today! Notice Spot has made a visit. He's still looking for Abigail Cat I quess. Cards and reproductions available. Great for a little boy's room. Print is 11x17, matted!
